At the Family Promise national office in Summit, NJ, a small staff works to create new IHNs and support existing ones, to implement Family Mentoring, and to spread the message of Just Neighbors. We accomplish our work with the support of an enthusiastic cadre of volunteers, work/study students, and interns-many from nearby colleges.
In the national office, we generally don't work directly with homeless families; rather, we create and manage the programs that do provide direct services. Assignments can include Internet research, data entry, programming, writing, and editing. We are located in convenient downtown Summit, one block from the NJ Transit station and 5 minutes from Interstate 24.
