Muskegon, Michigan is now home to our much-needed 4^th network in the Wolverine State.  Michigan's unemployment rate is the highest in the country and Muskegon's stands at 22%.  A January count found 137 homeless children in the city and the city's sole shelter does not take intact families or older boys.

Family Promise of Cabarrus County becomes the 11th network in North Carolina. This was a particularly challenging effort, with leadership, funding and fire code issues to overcome, but Board President Angela Orrock’s long-time commitment to the cause

Family Promise of Salem County is the 15th Affiliate in the Garden State. There is no shelter for families in this rural county of 65,000 people, with those needing services having to turn to the state of Delaware or neighboring NJ counties for help.

The efforts in Delaware County, OH, began in the fall of 2007, when a seminary student at Methodist Theological School and a professor there both felt that the program they had seen in Cleveland could help address family homelessness in this leafy suburban county due north of Columbus.

Our newest Affiliate, Family Promise of Ouachita Parish, is our 144^th operating Affiliate and the second in the Pelican State, primarily serving the cities of Monroe and West Monroe in the northeastern part of Louisiana.

Family Promise of Cape May, New Jersey has just opened its doors, becoming the 141^st Family Promise Affiliate and the 14^th in the Garden State.
