New Jersey Nets Share Thanksgiving Dinner with Family Promise

On the Monday before Thanksgiving, the New Jersey Nets celebrated their Season of Giving by donating 125 Thanksgiving food baskets to low-income and homeless families at Family Promise Affiliates in Morris County and Bergen County.

Members of the Nets Dancers and Team Hype joined Nets mascot Sly the Silver Fox at Family Promise of Morris County’s Day Center Monday evening to hand out 25 holiday dinners—a whole turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, cranberry sauce and an apple pie. Earlier in the day, the Nets Foundation dropped off 100 full dinners for Family Promise of Bergen County guests and other families in need at the Center for Food Action in Hackensack.

Because of the generosity of the Nets, hundreds of kids from struggling families in northern New Jersey were able to share in the holiday spirit this Thanksgiving. Thanks for giving, Nets!
