The 14^th Affiliate in the Garden State opens with 11 host congregations and a day center provided by King of Kings Community Church in Manahwkin.  Director Christine Daugaard is a longtime local professional in the fields of social services and mental health. 

The first host congregation was Tuckerton Methodist Church, and there were three families immediately welcomed into the IHN program.  One of these families had been evicted and the other had its illegal sublet discovered and they were forced out.  The third family is a mom whose baby was born on February 4^th, and both baby and mother are doing well.  The two dads in the program, meanwhile, have already given back-one by helping set up the office computer, the other by installing a donated satellite dish for TV at the day center.

As for any questions about the need for help in the area, two families have already been turned away as the network hit capacity soon after opening.
