9th Annual Spring Event Funds Three New Affiliates

Family Promise’s 9th Annual Spring Event was a tremendous success, raising more than $240,000 to support our efforts to help families in need. Held at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, N.J., on April 29, the event was attended by 123 donors, volunteers, Trustees and friends of Family Promise.

Board Chair Martin Wise and President Karen Olson launched the evening by sharing what Family Promise means to families and to local communities and why the need for continued support is so critical. Then auctioneer Brian Jaffe stepped to the podium for a live auction of items donated by Family Promise supporters, which raised more than $60,000.

The highlight of the evening was the auction of the opportunity to support the development of three new Affiliates. Claas Ehlers, Director of the Interfaith Hospitality Network, and Tom Cioffi, National Associate, manned the microphones and garnered funding for new Affiliates in Hall County, Ga., Lee County, N.C., and Orange County, Calif.
